Friday Fiction: Waiting on the Plane
Friday Fictioneers is a challenge to write a 100 word story from a picture prompt. It’s hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields, anyone can play. Check out the link at the end of my story to see what other fictioneers did with this week’s prompt.

I’m on my way to visit my brother. I took the cheapest route with a layover at Phoenix, Arizona.
25 minutes.
I shouldn’t have taken this route. It’s turning out to be an all day affair, a long and tedious day of flying. I won’t do it again.
35 minutes.
The plane is having problems. We have to wait until they have fixed it.
45 minutes.
Did you know smaller planes don’t run the air-conditioner until it is in the air?
It’s 95 degrees (Fahrenheit) out there. I don’t know what it is here in the plane.
55 minutes and waiting.

Hope you made it!!
Yes, eventually. I don’t think we were as long on ground as I make it in the story. But I do remember being overly warm.
Yes it can be unbearable. Btw I think you mean plane not plain..
I did thanks.
minor things – ” It’s tuning (tuRning?) out to be an all day…”
“…know smaller plains (planes?) don’t run the air-conditioned (air-conditioneR?) until it is in…”
well done.
Thanks. I do read and reread, but I tend to miss things.
we all do.
