Weekly Photo Challenge: Relic

This Weekly Photo Challenge is Relic and it asks, “What images does “relic” conjure for you? A well-worn piece of blue beach glass, the faded pencil markings from a high-school journal, or the curmudgeonly character from the CBC television series, The Beachcombers?”

This is Minneapolis City Mill. It was built in 1880 right on the Mississippi River and St. Anthony Falls. At one time it was the “Flour Milling Capital of the World.” Minneapolis build up around it.

Now the mill is allowed to fall into ruins surrounded by modern day Minneapolis. Tours come to visit and take pictures.
