Social Media

Social media, facebook, twitter, blogging, is the new way to advertise and get my name as an author out there. But when I read what I need to do to be successful at it, my brain moans. When I think about all the hours needed to invest in it, I become tired.

I understand the benefits of social media. I just don’t want to do it. My personality rebels. I could force myself, but the time it would take to find and keep contracts would have to come out of my writing time. So I just don’t do it.

I expressed the above discouragement to a friend, Arkat. She said she’d like to look into it. When she read the same material I had, she had the exact opposite reaction than I did. She was jazzed. She bubbled over with ideas.

Arkat and I are now working together. While I write, she’s researching social media.

We already have a new celebrity facebook page. It’s not published yet. Arkat is researching groups and learning what is available with a public page.

We’ve met twice so far. We’ve set goals and are moving forward. We don’t have anything to show you yet, but soon. I’m excited.

I’ll keep you informed as we move forward and will let you know when the new facebook page is ready.
