Writer’s Block

Some authors get all bent out of shape when their brain seems to stop brainstorming ideas. Not me.

I never worry about writer’s block. I think on a part of the story and know what I need. When it doesn’t come, I don’t stress. I work on another part of the story, watch TV, read a book, hangout with friends. I let my mind rest while I think. Then one day it just comes.

When it doesn’t seem to be coming, even though I’ve spend a good amount of time thinking, and all I have is a meager idea of something, I sit down a write.

I start with what little I do have and, from somewhere, ideas flow.

So if you are having trouble writing, I say take a little vacation, relax and then sit down and write. You might be surprised at what comes out.
