Browsers, Advertisement and Blogs
I helped a girlfriend start a new WordPress blog. It was fun. All told, we got together three times. Now she’s on her own and blogging away.
But to my surprise, there was an obnoxious advertisement on her front page, on the top, in the right panel, at the bottom, and at the top of the Dashboard. None of that was there when I looked at her blog on my computer.
In my moment of brilliance, I realized it was her Yahoo Browser. I have Fox. There are no advertisements when we pull my blog up at work. They’re on Google Chrome.
So the last time we got together, we changed her browser to Google Chrome. All advertisements have disappeared.
I post this just in case there’s someone out there who is also has annoying ads and wish to have a clean blog. If you’re on Yahoo, you might want to change your browser.
