Fiction Friday: Freedom

Friday Fictioneers is a challenge to write a 100 word story from a picture prompt. It’s hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields, anyone can play.  Check out the link at the end of my story to see what other fictioneers did with this week’s prompt.

                     Freedom thirsty

I can leap over barbed fences. I run with the wind. My spirit is free. Or at least it should be.

I was born to roam the countryside and command a heard not stand around waiting to be available when they desire a ride.

They want me for breading champions. I am fully capable of doing that on my own.

The only way to keep me locked up is to wrap my eyes so I can’t see the country I wish to explore.

I’ve been thinking on it. I have devised a plan. I will hold their water hostage until they release me.
