Friday Fictioneers: Wedding Day

From the time was she five years old, Lacy had been planning her fairytale wedding.

She wanted lacy pink and white carnations.

Rainbow colored dresses for her bridesmaids.

By seventeen, before she’d even met her future husband, she’d already picked her seven bridesmaids.

By the purest of chance, she met her prince. Within weeks, he asked her to marry him. Her parents loved him. His parents loved her.

It was destiny. She was barely able to contain her joy.

They picked the date and sent the invitations. Everything was perfect.

The only thing she hadn’t planned on was the flood.

The End
