Friday Fictioneer: The Door

Mom never believed us. She didn’t think we were liars, she thought we were great storytellers.

We told her of dragons and goblins; of worlds where clouds held cities; and a kingdom with seven rivers and waterfalls.

She believed one day we’d grow up to write great novels.

We weren’t storytellers, we were  tree climbers with adventurous spirits.

My brother and I found a door handle way up high a tree. When it turned to different positions, it open a door to different worlds, which we happily explored.

We grow up to be travelers that crossed over to other worlds.
