My Novel is Almost Here
My goodness. I finally, finally, finally, have the proof of my book. It’s in pieces so I can check it out for anything that might be wrong, and of course there was.
This has been a very long and difficult process for me. Murphy’s law did indeed rule: Anything and everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
But I survived. I am well prepared for the next book.
Soon the printed book will be in hand.
And yes, I am finally getting exited.
Congratulations, Phyllis! How exciting! xxoo DeeAnn

DeeAnn, what a surprise to see you on my blog. I love it. ;0)
Thanks for the congrats. First edition comes out on Nov. 4
Love,
Phyllis
Congrats on the proof!
At least you have made it this far – and better to catch the mistakes in the early stages rather than after. For as frustrating and bothersome as it may have been, I’m sure it will be well worth it in the end – and yup, we tend to learn lessons the hard way.
But a cheer anyhow – for it’s almost there! Well done Phyllis! 😀
Pat, You are so right!
I decided on printing only 300 books first go around. I’m so glad I did. Cause, there were mistakes. They weren’t big, I printed anyway and made the changes for the next edition of 1,000.
I think I’ll do the same every time, 300 first then the 1,000.
Sorry I haven’t been by your blog lately, been concentrating on this book, but I’ll be back soon to catch up.
Phyllis
No apologies necessary Phyllis – you have your hands full – in a good way. As for myself – I’ve been a bit “hit miss” lately – not feeling up to speed – so my posting has been a bit erratic. No worries anyhow, we all do what we can with the time we have available to us – and I have no expectations of anyone – having people read and take the time to comment, when they can, is genuinely appreciated. 🙂
So continued good luck – and it does make sense – your plan that is – small run first – then iron out the problems – and go from there with the next issuing. 🙂
Take care and I’m sure we’ll catch each other eventually here on the blog world 😉
