Friday Fictioneer: The Perfect Place
“I say we tear it down and start over.”
“What? No?”
“Why not? This pace is decrepit. There’s fungus growing everywhere.”
“Lichen.”
“Whatever. This is the perfect place for an outdoor Bar-B-Q and some awesome parties.”
“Find some place else.”
“What? Why? I suppose you think fairies and elves hangout here.”
“Don’t be ridiculous. There’s no such thing. But it is the perfect place for me to paint and write.”
“Fine, you want it, you got it. I’ll look for another place for my parties.”
Sahara smiled. There were plenty of fairies and elves everywhere. Jack just couldn’t see them.

No, Jack doesn’t sound like the type who can see faeries and elves… The dialogue is great. Nicely done!
Thank you for saying so.
I loved the ending! It was perfect for this story. 🙂
Thank you, my dear. ;0)

I agree. I wish I had taken it, but it came with the prompt.
Dear Phyllis,
Fairies and elves and lichen, oh my! it does look like a great place to paint and write. Nicely done.

Dear Phyllis,
Someplace is one word.
I see fairies everywhere, too.
Aloha,
Doug
Great dialogue! It does look like a lovely place and an ideal spot to write, paint and see fairies and elves 🙂
I know. I’d love to hang out there and see what I come up with.
Great way to save the faeries.. I guess that Jack found som concrete place for his parties instead.
Yes Jack, there are fairies and elves everywhere! 🙂
