Friday Fictioneer: The Tracks
It is said that some live on the wrong side of the tracks. Some say it’s greener on the other side. I don’t know about either.
You see, my father owns the tracks and all there is on either side.
I live a sheltered life. Everything comes easy for me. I have only to ask and what ever I want is handed to me.
I need to leave the nest and find out for myself just how hard life truly is. I’m taking very little with me: the dress I’m wearing, three maids, one butler, and one hatbox full of jewels.

Ha, chuckled at the end there. How shall one live with such austerity? One shudders at the thought.

Dear Phyllis, Oh you poor baby, I’m so sorry that you are going to have to “rough it” with 3 maids, a butler and a hatbox full of jewels! Please let us know how hard it was going out into the big bad world. Love this Phyllis – you are so good! Nan 🙂
lol
Your cute. ‘0)
Reminds me of the rich woman, Lovey, on Gilligan’s Island (a 1960’s TV series)
I missed that one. At least I’m in good company.
Phyllis
Karl Marx was right. 😉
Good piece.
Thanks.
I love a girl who really puts herself through it. 🙂 Nice one – made me grin.
Ha! Thanks. ;0)
Wow, how will she ever survive? 🙂
I think not. ‘0)
That wont hold him for long…Fun read!
Got to learn sometime.
Thanks.
Dear Phyllis,
This one left me laughing. She really knows how to rough it. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle
Yes, but I think after the maids leave and she butler has had enough and the gold runs out, she’ll learn. ;0)
Ha ha! Yep… she’s in for some surprises! There is only so much a box of jewels can cover up!
I agree. ;0)
Thanks for reading.
