Photographic Workshop
I attended a 3 hour, 6 mile photographic workshop by Wayne Moran of Let There be Light Fine Arts. He talked about composition and camera settings. Then we took a photographic walk around downtown and the Mississippi River.
Of the great advice Wayne gave, one was to stick to one composition idea or camera setting until I mastered it, which I plan to do. But that is difficult to do when there’s a group that I’m supposed to keep up with. So I worked on composition with lines and patterns.
I was familiar with the area chosen for the walk, but Wayne took us to a part of the area I’d not been before — along the Mississippi River.
And this is one of the things I like best about Downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis (Twine Cities) even when I’m in the heart of the city, I can find places that are still country.
Here are a few of today’s photos.

What a great day of meeting new friends, sharing photography thoughts and shooting.
It was wonderful to meet you.
Photography has always fascinated me! I will love to have a course and a good camera (digital) some day! 🙂
I say go for it. No mater how much we know, there is always more to learn. Have fun.
