time?”

“Me? You’re the one who takes long showers,” Dad yelled back.

Five-year-old Jeremy heard them fighting from upstairs. He thought water was free. He thought it rained and came out of the pipes. Guess not.

Jeremy had found a dried up pond in the back of the barn and an old faucet with a long forgotten water hose connected to it. He’d turned the water on in the hopes of filling the little pond to play in.

Guess he should turn it off.
