“You fell in love with him?”
“No, but he was charming, I believed he was innocent. Got him off, didn’t I?”
“Then what?”
“He came by to give me his thanks. Bashed my head in. He laughed while he did it. Even said thanks for the fun of the first kill. Now I’m a stinking pigeon.”
“Karma.”
“Yeah, but what did I do to deserve this?”
“Maybe it’s gift.”
“How so?”
“That’s him there, yea?”
“Yea.”
“Come on, I’ll teach you how to dive bomb.”
