Mondays Finish the Story: The Wizard

The Wizard

“Not knowing what to expect, he made his way into the dark of the 2015-10-19-c2a9-2015-barbara-w-beachamforest.”

Not knowing what to expect. Not knowing what to except!?!?

What did they think he was? A fool? He was a wizard. He knew exactly what to expect.

Just because no one’s seen him doesn’t mean he died.

He cleaned the forest of tolls and goblins and daemons. They’re gone aren’t they? The forest is safe isn’t? The village is safe. No more lost cattle, sheep or children. I’d say he did the job asked of him.

If they’d killed him, they’d still be here.

No, he collected his fee, cleared the forest and moved on to the next village.

That’s what he does, goes from village to village cleaning out the forest.

Somehow he knows which village will be in trouble next.

Almost as if . . . knew in advance.

The End
