Friday Fictioneer: Tea Party
I remember two kinds of parties.
One party everyone is dressed in white and so proper with their teacups and their teacakes, and a violin playing in the background.
The other party has guest butterflies and humming birds drinking nectar from flowers on the table. Fairies sit on overhead tree limbs singing.
One party is real the other is fantasy.
It’s not good to dwell in fantasy it messes with my head. I’ve decided to live in reality.
I turned to my friend sitting next to me. “Would you like some tea?”
“Yes,” Burr Rabbit says. “Have some carrot cake.”
Rochelle Wisoff-Fienlds hosts the writing challenge Friday Fictioneer. She posts a photo and we write a 100 word flash fiction about the photo.
