Friday Fictioneer: Revenge
After six years, he married someone else who he’d known for only a few months.
She was younger, heavier, less than average. But she was perfect, or so he said.
I ran into him a year later. We sat for a drink and a visit.
He said he’d made a mistake; I was the best woman in the world; something I’d known all along.
I was over him; I’d moved on.
He wanted to get back together.
I smiled politely and said, “I don’t think so.”
He didn’t look happy.
Best revenge ever.

Nobody physically hurt and still revenge = win
Thanks. ;0)
He’s had his chance and he blew it.
You got it.
Nice to read a FF revenge story that doesn’t end in bloodshed. Neatly told, Mythrider!
Thanks. I decided a long time ago to take the less bloody path. ;0)
🙂
I liked that! I had a similar experience many, many years ago, so this really resonated. Sweet revenge indeed!! 🙂

I know. It’s great. Hope your path to love had been sweet.
Revenge has a way of coming back to bite you.
Depends on the revenge.
