Friday Fictioneer: Goddess Sleeps

PHOTO PROMPT © Roger Bultot
She was never supposed to tell, but the secret was too great. She covered her eyes and slept.
They built a town around her in her honor. Now it was time to wake her.
“How long has she been sleeping?”
“A millennium.”
“We need to wake her or there will be disaster.”
“First we resolve the secret.”
“Where do you plan to start? Do you even know what we’re looking for?”
Blatimere stood staring at his goddess. Everything depended on her waking, everything.
“At least tell me you know what the secret is.”
“That’s the puzzle, isn’t it?”

Dear Phyllis,
You left me wondering what the secret might be. Intriguing.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle,
I’ve been thinking the same thing. I plan to sit down and write the initial plot and see where it takes me.
Blessings,
Phyllis
Amazing story, I would say! You are really talented… To have created such a great mystery. What happens next?
It seems As if it’s the very start of something really interesting…
I’m thinking on it in the hopes of coming up with a new story.
I am getting all excited to read about the coming story… Do publish it here when it is finished… 😁 I shall be eagerly waiting.
You’re funny, and I appreciate your enthusiasm. I’ve started a storyboard. But it will be awhile but it’s written and published. I’m finishing up the third novel in my trilogy. Hopefully, it will be out early next year. In the meantime I’ll be thinking and making notes on She Sleeps. ;0) Phyllis
Oh, that’s interesting… 😃
Thank you for your compliment, too. 😁
Third in a trilogy must be a great feat! Congratulations for it! 🌸
Thank you. It is. ;0)
💞👏😃
Now I want to know, too!
Yea, me too. I’m thinking on it.
Sounds like they’d better get on with sorting this secret out!
I agree.
A dilemma, only she knows – but what if it is bad. Perhaps we should let the sleeping Goddess be.
But then again!
I know. That’s the dilemma. They have to wake her or the town and people will be destroyed, but do they want to know the secret if it’s that bad? They may be doomed either way. Oh my what to do?
What comes first the secret learned or the goddess awakened? Sounds like a chicken and egg situation. I enjoyed your story.
Thanks. You are right. It’s a conundrum. One I must think on. ;0)

What’s the secret?? Another fun one!
I haven’t figured that out yet. Thinking on it and who lied to her.
As soon as I figure that out, I’ll start working on the plot.
Right now I’m finishing up my third book in People of Akiane Trilogy.
