Crimson’s Creative Challenge: Bronzed

“Mommy, what is that?”

“It’s a bird.”

“Is it hovering?”

“No, it’s bronzed.”

“Why?”

“So it doesn’t have to hover.”

“Why doesn’t it fly?”

“Because it’s attached to the pole.”

“Doesn’t that hurt?”

“No. It’s bronzed.”

Silence.

Mom let out a sign of relief. She was proud that he was an intelligent child, but sometimes so many inquisitive questions got on her nerves, especially when she didn’t know the answers.

“Mommy.”

“Yes?”

“How do they bronze a bird while it’s flying?”
