Sunday Trees is all about the wonder of trees.
Here is my entry:
The tree was cut down last fall. I decided to keep an eye on it and see how long it took for new branches to sprout.
On my way back home, I saw there was already a branch growing on the backside.
The tree above ground might have been dead, but the roots below ground are still full of life.
There are folks who believe Europe lost its virgin forests when the first farmers came and cut them down. Or if not then, then there were felled to build warships, or to fuel the industrial revolution. Fact is, as you’ve shown in this photo, it takes more than mere felling to be rid of a tree!!!
