Friday Fictioneers: The Young
We were both excited; it was the first time we’d vacationed on a South Pacific island.
As soon as we were settled into our hotel room, she ran outside to enjoy the sun.
She ran barefoot along the beach. She splashed in the water until her pants were soaked.
With her arms raised to shoulder height, she ran as if she was flying. She twirled, leapt, and hopped.
She didn’t stop until we sat down for lunch.
“Your 69 years old,” I reminded her.
“Best to enjoy life while I’m still young.” She laughed.

This is not your typical science fiction novel. It’s set on a planet in the Pegasus Constellation, but there are no monster aliens, and no wars in space.
This trilogy is about people like Lieutenant Jessica M. Hewitt, Rona Montgomery, and High Priest Adumie who, like all of us, struggle with self-worth, rejection, and love relationships.
This trilogy might just be your next read.
Coming in 2020
I love this, Phyllis! And I can promise you that I’ll be doing the same till I’m eighty (and then some, if the gods be generous!)
Me too. We’ll have to celebrate 80 together. ;0)
Woot! You’re on!
hahaha ;0)
I dread to think what would happen if the woman from your story got together with the man from mine! Both kids at heart, anything could happen…
haha so true. In truth your guy inspired my lady. Thanks.
So easy to imagine. Love it 🙂
;0) thanks
Dear Phyllis,
I’m not all that far behind her and I’m certainly with her. Love it!
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks, Rochelle, Blessings, Phyllis
She’s got the right attitude to be young at 69. She’ll see a century or more. Great she got to see paradise with her loved one 🙂
