Friday Fictioneers: The Secret

PHOTO PROMPT © David Stewart

For a thousand years, she slept to keep a secret that she believed would have devastated the heavenlies and the land below.

She woke to find a war in the heavenlies and distribution in the land below.

The secret had been a lie told to her to keep her out of the way.

She had slept when she should have been awake.

She raised her warrior cry and fought to save all she held dear and loved.

After the war, where she once slept now sits an eternally blooming flower—a reminder that some things should never be kept secret.

This is not your typical science fiction novel. It’s set on a planet in the Pegasus Constellation, but there are no monster aliens, and no wars in space.

This trilogy is about people like Lieutenant Jessica M. Hewitt, Rona Montgomery, and High Priest Adumie who, like all of us, struggle with self-worth, rejection, and love relationships.

This trilogy might just be your next read.
