Friday Fictioneers: You Said
Thursday afternoon:
What?
You said I could pick any day.
I didn’t think you’d pick this weekend.
Any day.
Okay, but a balloon?
You said I could pick the venue.
I though the courthouse, a little country church, a cathedral . . .
You said I could have my dream wedding.
But a balloon? I’m scared of heights.
Don’t look down.
Saturday:
With much fear and tribulation, Ralph showed up at the designated field. It was empty.
So where’s the balloon?
I thought you are afraid of heights.
Some 20 came running out of the trees yelling, “Surprise! Happy birthday.”
Wedding’s not until spring.

This is not your typical science fiction novel. It’s set on a planet in the Pegasus Constellation, but there are no monster aliens, and no wars in space.
This trilogy is about people like Lieutenant Jessica M. Hewitt, Rona Montgomery, and High Priest Adumie who, like all of us, struggle with self-worth, rejection, and love relationships.
This trilogy might just be your next read.
Coming in 2020
Love the twist 🙂

I bet he had a speech ready and everything
He’ll have to save it for spring.
Hopefully he’ll enjoy his birthday while he’s panicking about his balloon wedding in the Spring!
Sorry to disappoint, but there is no balloon ride. It was just a joke.
Oh my gosh. Now that’s how you do a surprise party. LOL.
You betcha.
A sort of backhanded surprise; the wedding still going ahead in a balloon in Spring.
No balloon in spring. It was a ruse to get him to his party.
Now that is a successful surprise party!

Now they both know they chose well. I enjoyed reading this story and your format made it easy to follow.

Thanks for stopping by.
