Good Morning
This morning, I woke to a Robin chirping nearby. A good sign that Spring is coming.
I’m told that he is nesting and calling for a mate to join him. Does anyone know more about this?
Here is a photo from awhile ago. I took it outside my bedroom window.

All I can add to your existing knowledge is that generally the male bird stakes out his territory then sets about 1: defending it against birds of same breed 2: attracting a mate. Both activities require lots of bird song
I didn’t think about staking out his territory. That makes sense. Thanks.
I was married to a keen bird-watcher, did breeding surveys and things. He became a reserve warden after we split
Sounds like you learned a lot.
I hope it was an agreeable slip and no bad memories.
It was a mutual agreeable arrangement
Good.
I checked out your 2022 photos. Beautiful. Many were “wow.” I bet it was difficult picking just one per month.
I was going to leave you a comment but I couldn’t so here it is. ;0)
Thank you, Phyllis. We select the photos for the 2022picofweek titles. That in itself is difficult enough. But then to select just 12. Yet they are a record of the year I shall continue to indulge
Good. I should do the same.
It gives an aim to the camera’s *aim* 🙂
